Hello!!
My name is Kendall Prater Kennedy and I am so excited for this opportunity be offering this fun and engaging class to your students!
My sweet mother, Sandi Prater, homeschooled my sister and I for 2 years in elementary school! I remember the highlight of those years being the classes my sister and I would attend outside of the home! We learned skills or participated in group activities that we still use today! :) That is what gave me this idea!
I graduated from Vestavia Hills High School in 2010 and then from the University of Montevallo in 2014 with a degree in Family and Consumer Sciences Education!
In my years of teaching, I have taught in the Alabaster City school system, at Rudd Middle School and now in the Vestavia City Schools at Pizitz Middle!
I am married to Derek Kennedy who is also a teacher! He teaches History at Mountain Brook Junior High and coaches football and basketball. We have one sweet little girl, Ellie Graham who is 18 months old.
We attend church at Mountain Brook Community Church where we are members of a Community Group and have served for years in the Children's ministry.
We live in Hoover, AL just minutes from interstates, grocery stores and shopping! So, feel free to stay and watch the class or get some errands taken care of while your child learns!
